Announcements and Important Events
Only one sport physical is required per school year and due at the start of the sport season that he/she will participating in. Sports physicals for the 2019-2020 school year must be administered and dated June 1, 2019 or later and will valid until May 31, 2020. They must be administered by an Authorized Medical Examiner (MD, DO, PAC, CRNP, SNP)

To be eligible to play a sport during the 2019-2020 school year, a physical is required before the start of the sport season in which a student will be participating.
The official start dates for sports:
Fall Season :
- Cross Country, Football, Cheerleading, Boys and Girls Soccer (August 12th, 2019)
-Girls Basketball (September 30th, 2019)
- Winter Season:
- Boys’ Basketball, Cheerleading Wrestling (November 18th, 2019)
- Hockey (September 2nd, 2019)
- Spring Season :
- Girls’ Volleyball –( January 20th, 2020 )
- Track and Field- (March 16th ,2020)
If a student-athlete participated in a fall sport or had a sports physical (Sections 1-6) completed, regardless of when performed during the school year, he/she will not need another sports physical if they will be participating in a winter or spring sport. However, a parent or guardian must complete a Re-certification for Sports Participation form (Section 7) to be eligible to participate in a subsequent sports season (winter and/or spring) in the same school year. The recertification form must be completed not earlier than six weeks prior to the first practice day of the sport season. If any “yes” answers to Section 7, the student-athlete must follow up with a licensed physician and provide documentation to be cleared to participate.
DATES ARE SIX WEEKS PRIOR TO THE WINTER AND SPRING SPORTS SEASON:
Hockey is considered a winter sport; therefore, the sport is not included in the six weeks prior to the winter season. Hockey players must have their sports physical forms turned in before September 2.
Winter sports –October 7, 2019
Spring sports – February 3rd, 2020 (Track), December 9th, 2019 (Girls Volleyball)
If a student-athlete participates in a fall, winter or spring sport and is injured, he/she needs to follow up with a licensed physician. Section 7 of the sports physical form will need completed by a parent or guardian and Section 8 must be signed by a licensed physician for clearance before returning to play
